Book Review: Girl Online by Zoe Sugg

Hey All, I hope 2015 is going well for you so far! Let me know in the comments what exciting things you'll be doing this year!
I've decided I'm going to upload every Friday if I can! Today will be a book review on Girl Online by Zoe Sugg.

Girl Online by Zoe Sugg.

So I got this book as a present for christmas and was so excited to get started as I was waiting for it since Zoe brought it out at the end of last year!
I enjoyed the book so much that I finished it in 2 nights and that's good for me considering I tend to be distracted by the internet a lot.

I loved how you could imagine the characters in detail and you felt some sort of emotion towards them. I won't give any spoilers just incase you're going to give it a read!
I love how the main character Penny portrayed some real big issues like anxiety, which was really effective considering Zoe suffers from anxiety attacks and so it was a chance for us to some what experience what goes on in a persons mind when this happens and through the story it gives advice to Penny, but also to the audience on how to overcome attacks. So I thought this was really effective, well done Zoe!

I love any story with some sort of romance in it, I'm always left feeling like I need the character, like I finished this book and automatically thought 'I need to find myself a Noah!!'. Yeah I liked how there was so many different friendships and relationships going on throughout and it also hit the subject of growing away from friends, which can be a real big issue with teenagers. I know it was for me as I grew away from my best friend before my GCSE's, but that's a different story!

I loved how Penny's blog posts throughout the book hit social events that happen in our own life, like I said; falling out with friends, meeting your first love and everyone has them embarrassing times but unfortunately not all of us are lucky enough to fly away to New York like in Girl Online.

The chapters throughout the story were easy to read and they didn't go on for too long so I could finish a chapter, go make a cup of tea, then settle back down and start again, instead of spending ages reading because then you lose your interest. Also I enjoyed how some parts were written as a blog so we could really get involved with the story like we were Penny's viewers!

The cover and design of the book was gorgeous, I loved the colour and the images on the front of the book they were immediately enticing and as soon as I walked into WHSmith I could instantly see Girl Online on the shelves because it stood out.

I know there was a lot of rumours about Girl Online being ghost written but I honestly believe that if it was or not, that Zoe worked really hard on it and who cares if it was ghost written, it's a bloody amazing book!! I'm proud of Zoe Sugg either way, she did something she's always wanted to do and I think she is an amazing author.

I would recommend Girl Online to anyone, it's mainly a teen book but i'm sure a young adult would enjoy it too. I'm not sure any males would want to read it though unless they are the hopeless romantic and have a big heart.

So there you go, let me know what you thought of Girl Online and any books you think I should do a review on.

Amie xx
